Mindset is everything.

One of the most important things in life is our mindset, Most of us are raised to become ordinary with a societal pleasing mindset that averages our will and capabilities to live a greater life.

This is about recognizing that within ourselves there is something extra ordinary we haven’t been trained to believe in and to apply it in our life to live a life way above and beyond ordinary, ending up being just average.

Each and every of us is attracted to greatness, reason being greatness is within all of us. It’s easier to go and watch greatness in Theaters, Television, movies and stadiums than putting in our time, energy and discipline to realize the greatness within ourselves, we end up not having what we wish to have nor live the way we wish to live and deny ourselves the opportunity of being what we wish to be.

What do you expect of yourself? What is it that you expect from you?

If you want to accomplish something, you must first expect it of yourself. Mentally, you must change what is impossible to be possible, you must tell yourself it is possible.

Every single one of us has greatness within, every single person is something special in this world, it’s up to us to reach deep down within us and get the greatness out, the door into greatness swings inwards, not outside, find that that lies within yourself that the world has never seen, work on it until it shows to the outside where the world is waiting.

It doesn’t matter if you work at the garbage collection company, or in a school as a teacher, or commuter vans (Matatu) tout or even at the president’s office, greatness is within all of us, It doesn’t matter if you have a high school certificate, college diploma or university degree, your greatness and degrees are already inside of you, you just need to get in there and find it without tiring because if you stop, others will be the first to tell you “I told you so!”. It doesn’t matter what you are good at, where you begin from, what you have been told you can or cannot be, believe in yourself, tell yourself these words, “I choose not to be a common man, it’s my right to be uncommon if I can, I seek opportunity not security, I do not wish to be humbled by the society’s standards, I want to take a calculated risks, to dream and to build, to fail and to succeed, I refuse to live from hand to mouth, I prefer the challenges of life to the guaranteed existence of thrill of fulfillment, to the end of utopia, it’s my right to face the world boldly and say, this I have done.”

You are your first reason as to why you are not winning, How easy and convenient is it to blame everything and everyone for the things you have going on in your life, most people wake up every day looking for drama, unemployment, pain, dysfunction, being broke, struggling, blaming every childhood experience they grew up in that is blocking them from being who they want to be, if you are going to blame people, blame them for all the good too, if you are going to give them credit for what is not working, give them credit for at least what’s working, am not asking you to stop blaming, am asking you blame intelligently.

The urgency of accomplishment.

All of us in life have a reason as to why we are here, you have to know what makes you do what you do, that that gives you inner drive, without which you’d otherwise have no reason to wake up in the morning, decide consciously what makes you happy and fulfilled.

When you look at the clock ticking, what you see, whatever you see is not time ticking, it’s your life ticking away. Our lives are limited, don’t waste yours living someone else’s, don’t be stuck in what other people think of you, have the courage to follow your intuition that leads to your dream.

Your biggest fear should be living a life where you could have become what you wanted to be but didn’t.

Life is meant to be a joyful journey, to appreciate the little things, to be givers and lovers of life. If you are driven by anything other than to learn, love and the desire to contribute, grow and expand, you are driven by the need to either please others or fear, If you are driven by the need to please others, maybe it’s time to free yourself by deciding consciously what you want your life to be about, something simple, something you can live every single day.

Learn from your failures, there is no loosing, only learning; No failure, only opportunities; no problems, only solutions that makes failure the mother of success. Failure is an experience that lands you to wisdom that ultimately makes a stronger version of yourself. Failure is a signpost that says “You are going in the wrong direction”.

We are all a work in progress, once you understand this you become kind to yourself and act accordingly. It’s not about how many times you fall down, it’s about getting back up.

Sometimes the outcome is not what we want it to be, don’t let this drill itself into your skull, tell yourself true failure is not trying at all. Go out there and fail, you are supposed to fail, because failure is your stepping stone to success.

Everyone has dreams and goals, but planning and execution is what separates those who reach their goal from those who don’t. Have you ever heard of failing to plan is a perfect plan for failure?

Your plan has to be solid, it has to have something I call the C5 complex; Clarity, Concise, Compelling, Consistent and you must remain Committed. It is certain that when you are doing something you are truly passionate about, there is never a plan B.

Go ahead and make a plan, device a way to execute the tasks in it and commit to it.

Tune that mindset to propel you to your dreams as life can only be as good as your mindset!
